The Portobello Rose

The Portobello Rose is the favored ship of the Pyrates of Portobello. Though they have others scattered about the seven seas, the "Rose" is by far the favored ship of the captain and crew.

The Portobello Rose is a full rigged, three-masted ship with a raised forecastle and quarterdeck. She has 38 "big" guns with the addition small cannons and numerous swivel guns 0000 She is faster than most all of the ship-of-the-lines and is used on occasions as an escort for the Queen's personal ship when in dangerous waters.

The ship's crew consisted of the usual members but the Portobello Rose has additional musicians and other "people with needed skills" as noted in the Captain's Log.

PORTOBELLO ROSE ADVENTURES:

Captain Wycked Jack commissioned the ship with specific "modifications" that are unknown to anyone but the most loyal crew of the Rose.

Rumor has it she can sail faster than most any ship on the sea today. As Wycked Jack himself has said, "I like to get out of trouble as fast as I get into it!"

In a heated battle with two Spanish treasure galleons out of Port Lavaca, The Rose fired so many rounds from her big guns that the crew had to douse the canons with water lest the powder ignite while loading her!
